Humane Society Ales for Tails, Draw 4 Carroll 
winners, and Abe and Mary Todd Lincoln presentation make Close Up

			The Humane Society of 
			Logan County is hosting the third annual Ales for Tails on 
			Friday, July 15, at Chad's Blind from 6 to 10 p.m. | 
		
            | Music will be provided by the band Shiftin' Gears. The public is invited to 
attend the evening of fun that includes beer and wine samplings, catering by 
Lincoln College, a door prize, and a 50-50 drawing. Tickets for this signature 
event are $30 and can be purchased at

217-732-1979. The semiannual general membership meeting will be on Wednesday, July 20, at 
the HSLC shelter. At that time the organization will elect a board member to 
complete a term that expires in January. If anyone is interested in running for

			County Genealogical & Historical Society is hosting Abe and Mary 
			Todd Lincoln presented by Gary and Carol Simpkins from Simpkins 
			Military History Museum of Heyworth. The event will be Monday, July 
			18, at 6:30 p.m. at the Lincoln Woman's Club, 230 N. McLean St. in 
			Lincoln. The public is invited.
