Elkhart Historical Society announces fall dinner-lecture dates

ELKHART -- The Elkhart Historical
Society is preparing an outstanding lineup of speakers for their
fall dinner-lecture series. The evening series is presented at The
Wild Hare Café, 104 Gov. Oglesby St. in historic downtown Elkhart.
Dinner begins at 5:30 p.m., followed by the lecture from 7 to 8 p.m.

The following topics and dates have
been selected for the fall series:

"The Music of
Route 66" and "Elkhart's Place in Route 66 History"
Friday, Sept. 9

"Bats! The Facts
and Myths About Our Famous (Infamous?) Flying Mammals"
Friday, Oct. 7
-
"The Scully Family -- Draining the
Prairie"
Friday, Nov. 4
The dinner cost is $25 per person and includes the meal, beverage
(coffee or tea), dessert, tax and gratuity. Diners are welcome to
bring their own wine for the meal.
