Saturday marked the second annual Lawnmower Run through the city of Lincoln. The event is a fundraiser for the Lincoln/Logan Food Pantry. Riders "parade" through the city, making various stops to collect food and cash to help those in need.

Event coordinator Vienna Perdue brought the idea to the city of Lincoln last year, and it turned out very well.

This year when she returned to the Lincoln City Council to ask for permission for the second annual event, the group received high praises for conducting a nice and unusual event in Lincoln.

The day started out with registration in the back parking lot of the Lincoln IGA. The parade then progressed mainly through the residential sections of town to a variety of stops.

They ended their day with a celebration at Rumors on South Sangamon. Stops along the way included the Glass House, Mr. Lucky'ss, Chad's Blind and others.
