The "Mother Road" has a strong influence on tourism. Tourism director Geoff Ladd tells the story of The Mill to a group from the Toledo, Ohio, area touring Route 66.
On Saturday, members of the Route 66 Association of Illinois will gather at Lincoln College for their annual banquet, adding more dollars into our local economy.
