[June 10, 2011]  JERSEY CITY, N.J. (AP) -- Crews in New Jersey are trying to rescue a man who is apparently stuck in a pipe inside a manhole.

Two rescuers wearing air packs and hazardous material suits spent about 30 minutes in the manhole in Jersey City before they returned to the surface without the worker. News 12 New Jersey TV footage showed the rescuers being hosed off.

A fire department dispatcher says the man is stuck, but there's no word on whether he's injured.

Calls seeking details have not been returned and no other information is available.
