Community Action and Habitat for Humanity of Logan County are partnering on a financial and budget counseling seminar. This is for new Habitat applicants, to meet their requirement for budget counseling, and is also available to anyone who wants or needs to fine-tune their own budgets. This is an excellent opportunity to learn how to budget, save and get debts paid off (and how to avoid piling up more debts). There is NO ONE who could not profit from this. The seminar will be led by Cyndi Campbell from Community Action.

The first session will be at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 15, at the Logan County Housing Authority Activity Room, 1028 N. College. The second session will be on Tuesday, June 21, at 1 p.m. at the Community Action building, 1800 Fifth St.

You can and are welcome to attend both. If you have any questions, you may call Tonita Reifsteck, Habitat for Humanity family support, at 732-9796.

The First Baptist Church, 101 Broadway in Lincoln, is sponsoring their annual summer social and pie auction on Thursday, June 16. The menu includes pulled pork barbecue sandwich, baked beans, slaw or applesauce, dessert, and drink. Tickets are available at the door, and carryouts will be available. Please use the rear entrance, handicapped-accessible.

The meal will be from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., with the pie auction at 6:30. Proceeds will be used for missions.
