LC swimming & diving teams finish 3rd at nationals

BUFFALO, N.Y. -- On the final
day of competition at the NJCAA Swimming & Diving Championships, the
Lincoln College Lynx won three more individual national titles as
both the men's and women's teams placed third.

Tyler Clingerman (Plainfield, Ind.) took home gold in the men's
1-meter diving, making him the first-ever back-to-back (four-time)
national champion for Lincoln College diving. He was also recognized
as diver of the year. Clingerman signed with the University of
Louisville in November.
Maggie Rea (Parsons, Kan.), a freshman, took home her second
national title at this year's championships by winning the 1,650
freestyle. Earlier in the meet she won the 500 free. She is the
first-ever two-time female national champion for Lincoln College.
Bryce Bohman (Moline) won the 200 backstroke for his second
national title at this year's championship meet. He won the 100 back
earlier in the meet. His swims also earned him recognition as male
swimmer of the year. He graduates from Lincoln College this spring
with three national titles, one national record and six school
records (including relays).

The LC coaches also received NJCAA honors. Head coach Jake Sexton
was recognized as male coach of the year. Matt Dickinson was named
diving coach of the year for the second year in a row.
The LC men and women swimmers and divers had a record-setting
season. In all, the Lynx had three national champions in six
different events, 30 NJCAA all-Americans in 80 different events, one
NJCAA national record -- broken twice at the national meet, and 19
new team records, 13 for women and six for men.
