After this one-car accident early Saturday morning, there was plenty of head-scratching going on, including from the driver of the vehicle, who told officials he could not offer them a clear explanation of how the accident occurred.

According to police reports and Lincoln Fire Department Chief Mark Miller, firefighters, city police and Logan County Paramedics arrived on the scene to find the car facing nose up, being held precariously by utility guy wires. Using struts and the hoist of a tow truck, officials secured the vehicle in place, removed the brush and a portion of the fence, popped out the back window of the car, and the driver exited unharmed.

The accident occurred at 8:35 a.m. Saturday on Stringer Avenue.
