Medicines for Missions

Send a link to a friend

[March 15, 2011]   --There is a tremendous need for over-the-counter (OTC) medications and common wound dressing materials around the world. To help address that need, the Global Outreach Team at Jefferson Street Christian Church is collecting these various meds and dressings to be used in our own short-term mission trips and to provide them for the missionaries we support including FAME (Fellowship of American Medical Evangelists). Generic versions of any of these medications are fine. Consider buy-one/get-one or two-for-the-price-of-1 when you purchase for your own needs, and donate one.

Following is a list of some of the items needed:
Children’s Vitamins (no gummies); Prenatal vitamins; Men’s and Women’s Vitamins; Iron (tablets or liquid); Benadryl (oral- for adult, children); Ibuprofen (adult, children, infant); Tylenol (adult, children, infant); Aspirin; Cold and Allergy Meds (adult & children:
Benadryl, Claritin D, Triaminic, Chloraseptic, Pseudophed, PE Tablets-Phenylephrine HCL, Robitussin, including those for people with high blood pressure, etc.); Hand Sanitizers and Wipes; Sterile Gloves; Soap (bars); and Trash Bags (small, medium, large)
