[March 15, 2011]  Wanda Lee Rohlfs, executive director of Main Street Lincoln, said there are a limited number of tickets available for an event Sunday evening and that the public is more than welcome to come and learn about activities planned for the county this year.

The Looking for Lincoln and partnership event will be at Lincoln College at 5 p.m. in the new museum at the Lincoln Center, 1115 Nicholson Road. During the evening, special recognition will be given to Main Street Lincoln members and partners.

"We are 'Celebrating Community' by recognizing and learning more about the people who live and work in our communities within Logan County," said Wanda Lee Rohlfs, Main Street executive director.

In keeping with the Looking for Lincoln Heritage Coalition, which manages the Abraham Lincoln National Heritage Area, presenters from various communities and organizations will provide dialog and explain what activities they will be having this year and show the ways in which we can interpret and celebrate the heritage of our region.

Lincolnite Mike Fak will provide humor and help "connect the dots" for the kinship between towns and county. Chef Warren Wendlandt will prepare the food.

The ticket price is $15 per person. You can stop in at the Main Street Lincoln office, 109 S. Kickapoo, to purchase your tickets, or you can call 217-732-2929 to reserve your seats and pay for them at the door.
