[March 19, 2011]  CAIRNS, Australia (AP) -- Prince William has visited towns in northeastern Australia that were hit by a cyclone earlier this year.

The second in line to he British throne shared chat and a barbecue lunch on Saturday with survivors of Cyclone Yasi that struck the coast in early February and destroyed dozens of homes and millions of dollars worth of crops.

William arrived from New Zealand, where he attended a national commemoration ceremony for victims of an earthquake that devastated the city of Christchurch and killed more than 166 people last month.

On Sunday, William will travel to other areas of Australia that have been affected by the country's worst flooding in decades.
