Lincoln is an attractive, vibrant,
small community in central Illinois. It has a picturesque, active
and historic downtown. As part of Main Street Lincoln's
revitalization efforts, the organization takes pride in bringing
people downtown to the Courthouse Square Historic District. Through
the cooperative efforts of both the retail businesses and
restaurants, Main Street is eager to create an atmosphere of
community celebration. They want to see friends and family together
to enjoy a variety of activities, music and great food. Their next
planned community activity, the second annual Honest Abe's Barbeque
Cook Off, is scheduled for June 11.
