LCHS students display their artistry at school board meeting

There are many talented young men and women at Lincoln Community High School and students showcased those talents at the recent LCHS board meeting. Along  the hallway, various expressions of art were displayed for board members to look at and admire.

Skylar Morgan and Samantha Moore spoke to the LCHS school board about quilts they constructed in Family and Consumer Science class, with Ms. Hagenbruch.

 

Jackie Boyer displayed her quilt at the LCHS school board meeting while Superintendent Bagby assisted in holding the large item and congratulated the students on the appearance and quality of their work. Ms. Hagenbruch said she was proud of the students for finding creative ways to use the material.

 

Additional quilts were hung in the hall for board members to view. Three students attended the board meeting to explain the design and production of their quilts.

The city of Lincoln has requested multiple metal Abraham Lincoln profiles made by the metal works classes at LCHS. The items would be placed in assorted locations on the square and possibly elsewhere in town.

 

Several pieces of wooden furniture, bowls and other products from woods class were on display at the school board meeting.

The largest pieces were an unfinished rocking chair and a bookshelf.
 

 

 

 

Visual art was part of the exhibit at the school board meeting at LCHS. Pencil, paint and other mediums were used to express the students creative ideas.

A table of ceramic articles displayed the talents of many students from art class. The pieces demonstrated the talents and abilities of several LCHS students.
