Illini Central High School names top 10 graduates

[May 24, 2011]  MASON CITY -- Illini Central High School has announced the academic top 10 students for the graduating class of 2011. In order of rank, they are as follows:

Raymond Allen is valedictorian for the Class of 2011. He is the son of Earl and Doris Allen. He plans to attend Illinois Central College in general education. Raymond graduates with a grade-point average of 4.000.

Chelsea Picken is salutatorian for the Class of 2011. She is the daughter of Rick and Tina Picken. Chelsea plans to attend the University of Illinois, majoring in either English or psychology. She graduates with a grade-point average of 3.965.

Lucas Frye is the son of Jay and Noreen Frye. He plans to attend the University of Illinois, majoring in agriculture finance and law. Lucas graduates with a grade-point average of 3.948.

Sierra Burris is the daughter of John and Meri van Bragt and Mike Burris. She plans on attending Illinois State University and studying elementary education. Sierra graduates with a grade-point average of 3.890.

Lauren Lynn is the daughter of Chris and Julie Lynn. Lauren plans on attending Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville, majoring in nursing. She graduates with a grade-point average of 3.849.

Lane Kreiling is the son of Daryl Kreiling. He plans on attending Southern Illinois University-Carbondale and majoring in agriculture education with a minor in agriculture business. Lane graduates with a grade-point average of 3.711.

Nathan John Graham is the son of George Millette and Jill Millette. Nathan plans to attend Lincoln College and major in general education and then continue at Illinois State University and Southern Illinois University, majoring in medicine. He graduates with a grade-point average of 3.663.

Dylan Whisenand is the son of Eric Whisenand and Jody Whisenand. He plans on attending Illinois Central College in diesel mechanics and then Air Force Academy. Dylan graduates with a grade-point average of 3.548.

Justin Long-Croteau is the son of James Long and Tamera List. Justin plans on attending Lincoln College and then Western Illinois University, majoring in criminal justice. He graduates with a grade-point average of 3.334.

Steven Ingersoll is the son of Rodney Ingersoll and Shirley Halsema. He plans to attend Illinois Central College and then continue at Illinois State University, majoring in kinesiology. Steven graduates with a grade-point average of 3.330.
