Chevrolet,
through Graue Inc., sponsored the Lincoln Area YMCA 2011
Megan Kissel soccer program, providing T-shirts and signage for
the program. “We’re glad to see the local program benefit
through the Central Illinois Super Chevy Association,” said
Chris Graue. Teams played a six-week season at the soccer fields
on the grounds of the former Lincoln Developmental Center. On
behalf of the Central Illinois Super Chevy Association, Graue
presented the soccer program with $500.

Damaged
and leaking railroad tankers are scattered along the tracks Monday in a switching yard in the Big Pasco Industrial Park in Pasco, Wash.
Forty-six BNSF cars broke loose at the Pasco train hump yard and rolled into an
idling train of 31 cars and two locomotives. No one was reported injured.

Actually this pooch was in a good mood
yesterday, as he was about to go to a forever home. The Humane
Society of Logan County has other dogs and cats that need our
help and welcomes the community to come and
visit their new facility. The shelter is at 1801 E. Lincoln
Parkway.

Bentonville, Ark. The museum was
created using pieces acquired by Wal-Mart heir Alice Walton, who
wanted to build something important in her hometown of Bentonville.
The museum is scheduled to open Nov. 11.
Chicago Bears running back Matt Forte (22) is tackled
by Philadelphia Eagles free safety Kurt Coleman (42) in the first
half of an NFL game Monday in Philadelphia.
The Bears rallied behind Jay Cutler to win the game 30-24.
