[November 19, 2011 In a Friday morning program, students from Montessori Children's House of Lincoln performed music written by Stephen Foster. His songs celebrated patriotism, freedom of speech and the American way of life. The students recited facts and information about Foster, and stressed the things to be grateful for on Thanksgiving. The program was managed by the students while teachers sat nearby and allowed the students to perform their piano pieces and recite their part of the story of Foster's life.
