Congratulations and best wishes to Deb DeJarnette. After 40 years Deb will be retiring from the Lincoln Public Library. She started on Aug. 21, 1971, and says the biggest change during her career is computers and e-books. But she says there will always be a place for conventional books and the interaction of a reader with the story, especially with children. Deb plans to spend time being a grandmother in Texas with her daughter Marni, who is expecting. Deb says she will miss many of the people who visit the library and wishes she could take many of them with her. Pictured from left: Jaime Fish, Rick Kramp, Deb and Jude Harms.
