[October 04, 2011]  CHICAGO (AP) -- A judge has questioned eight potential jurors, including a postal worker and a Twitter follower of Perez Hilton, at the start of the last trial directly related to investigations of former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich.

Other would-be panelists questioned as William Cellini's trial began Monday included a state-court clerk, a retired AT&T manager and a woman who teared up when she said her husband's salary had recently been slashed in half.

Cellini is accused of conspiring to extort the Oscar-winning producer of "Million Dollar Baby" for a $1.5 million Blagojevich campaign donation. He's denied any wrongdoing.

The 76-year-old joked with relatives on a spectators' bench before proceedings began. He occasionally took notes after questioning began.

Zagel spent less than an hour questioning potential jurors before adjourning. Jury selection resumes today.
