Recently, the Best Western Lincoln Inn was upgraded to a
Best
Western Plus. This designation is given by meeting specific design
and amenity guidelines. "Best Western Plus" indicates an upper
mid-scale hotel with well-appointed rooms, modern amenities and an
enhanced level of comfort for guests looking to get the most out of
their stay. Located on the front lawn of the hotel is the
Railsplitter Covered Wagon, noted in the Guinness Book of World
Records as the world's largest covered wagon and designated by
Reader's Digest as the 2010 No. 1 Roadside Attraction. The summer
has been spent sprucing up the wagon's landscape and hanging new
welcoming banners, all to prepare for the new Route 66 Scenic Byway
Wayside sign that has been erected, with much thanks to the city of
Lincoln, directly in front of the site.
The Lincoln/Logan County Chamber of Commerce and hotel owner
Paresh Patel, along with Geoff Ladd and the Abraham Lincoln Tourism
Bureau of Logan County, invite the public out for a ribbon-cut and
dedication of these new upgrades.
