Lisa Nijm, MD, brings ophthalmology services to Lincoln

[September 12, 2011]  Lisa Nijm, M.D., J.D., a specialist in ophthalmology, will establish a new practice in Lincoln as part of Springfield Clinic's Outreach Specialty Services program. Dr. Nijm specializes in corneal, cataract and LASIK surgery.

After receiving her medical degree from Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in Springfield, she completed her ophthalmology residency at the University of Illinois Eye & Ear Infirmary in Chicago. She was then awarded a Cornea and External

Diseases & Refractive Surgery Fellowship at the University of California-Davis. She joined Springfield Clinic's Eye Institute last year and is expanding her practice to Lincoln to better serve the needs of the community.

She will see patients in Lincoln at Family Medical Center every second Thursday of the month.
