'Lion' is king again with $21.9 million weekend

[September 27, 2011]  LOS ANGELES (AP) -- "The Lion King" ruled the box office for a second-straight weekend as the animated reissue took in $21.9 million.

Brad Pitt's "Moneyball" debuted at No. 2 with $19.5 million, closely followed by the family film "Dolphin Tale," which opened with $19.2 million.

The top 20 movies at U.S. and Canadian theaters Friday through Sunday, followed by distribution studio, gross, number of theater locations, average receipts per location, total gross and number of weeks in release, as compiled Monday by Hollywood.com are:
