Marjorie E. Fitzsimmons, 90, of Lincoln, died Saturday, March 31,
2012, at 10:50 a.m. at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital.

A Funeral
Service for Mrs.
Fitzsimmons will
be held on
Wednesday, April
4, 2012 at
10:00 a.m. at
the Peasley
Funeral Home in
Lincoln with
Rev. Jeffrey G.
Laible
officiating.
A Visitation
will be held on
Tuesday, April
3, 2012 from
5:00 p.m. until
7:00 p.m. at the
funeral home. A
Rosary Service
will be held at
4:45 p.m. prior
to
the visitation.
Burial will be
in Holy Cross
Cemetery in
Lincoln.
Marjorie E.
Fitzsimmons was
born on January
14, 1922 in
Lincoln the
daughter of
Barney and Lela
Sullivan Maloy.
She married
Joseph E.
Fitzsimmons Jr.
on July 6, 1940
in Missouri. He
preceded her in
death on
February 15,
1983.
Surviving are
her children:
Diana K(Richard)
Jacobs of
LaPorte, Ind.,
James (Wanda)
Fitzsimmons ,
Peggy (Joe)
Fitzpatrick,
Patrick
Fitzsimmons, Tim
Fitzsimmons and
Laurie Ballard,
all of Lincoln,
fifteen
grandchildren
and seven
great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters: Henrietta
Gillard, Mary Aper, Betty Perdue and a brother: Bud Maloy.
She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and Daughters of
Isabella, of which she was a past president.
She worked as a dietary aide at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital and at
Carroll Catholic School.
She was a wonderful mother and grandmother. She was much loved and will
be greatly missed by her family and friends. |
