Illinois country grain prices were
mixed on Monday afternoon, with corn and soybeans higher. Corn
and soybean futures were supported by carryover strength from
last Friday's USDA reports. Farmer's were busy last week
planting corn. According to the USDA's Weekly Crop Progress
report, Illinois farmers have now planted 5% of the state's corn
crop.
In Northern and Western Illinois country grain dealers quoted
shelled corn bids 11 cents higher at 6.35-6.45. Soybean bids
traded 18 to 20 cents higher at 13.91-14.08.
