Illinois country grain prices were
mixed on Tuesday afternoon. Fund and speculative selling at the
Board of Trade pushed soybean futures lower.
In the cash markets trading has
been moderate. Cash basis for both corn and soybeans improved at
many Illinois River terminals, with improvements of 1 to 4 cents
noted.
In Northern and Western Illinois country grain dealers quoted
shelled corn bids 3 cents higher at 6.38-6.48. Soybean bids
traded 2 to 4 cents lower at 13.89-14.04.
In Central Illinois country grain dealers quoted shelled corn
bids were 2 cents higher at 6.49-6.65. Soybean bids were 1 to 3
cents lower
at 13.93-14.05.
In the Southern part of the state, shelled corn bids were 3 to 4
cents higher at 6.54-6.76. Soybean bids were 3 to 4 cents lower
at 14.00-14.17. Wheat bids were mostly 1 to 3 cents higher at
6.40-6.58.
