Illinois country grain prices were
mixed on Wednesday afternoon, with corn and wheat slightly
higher and soybeans slightly lower. Selling activity continues
to be very slow in the cash grain market. Cash basis for corn
continues to improve at river terminals and processors.
In Northern and Western Illinois country grain dealers quoted
shelled corn bids mostly 1 to 2 cents higher at 6.17-6.32.
Soybean bids traded mostly 3 to 6 cents lower at 13.95-14.06.
In Central Illinois country grain dealers quoted shelled corn
bids were 1 cent higher at 6.29-6.46. Soybean bids were 4 cents
lower at 13.99-14.11.
In the Southern part of the state, shelled corn bids were 1 to 2
cents higher at
6.39-6.60. Soybean bids were 2 to 4 cents lower at 14.08-14.24.
Wheat bids were
2 cents higher at 6.07-6.28.
