[April 13, 2012]  PITTSBURGH (AP) -- Danny Briere loves a good comeback. Yet the Philadelphia Flyers winger would prefer it if his team didn't wait a period or two before coming to life.

The Flyers needed another stirring rally to beat the Pittsburgh Penguins 4-3 in overtime in the opening game of the Eastern Conference quarterfinals. Philadelphia fell behind 3-0 in the first period before climbing back to take control of the best-of-7 series.

Briere missed the final week of the regular season with a sore back suffered in a win over the Penguins on April 1 but returned to score twice during the comeback.

Briere praised his team's resiliency but also knows the Flyers can't afford to let Pittsburgh consistently jump out in front. The Penguins stressed they're not panicking after losing outright for the first time this season after building a three-goal lead.
