In addition to celebrating 40 years of service to the community, St. Clara's administrator, Mike Eads, took time out to celebrate some of the people who have helped make the nursing home a success.

At the reception inside, Mike Eads, the administrator at St. Clara's, first introduced Katie Dobey. Dobey is a resident of St. Clara's, but Eads said she was also the first activity director there many years ago.

Eads introduced Janice Bridges and presented her with a plaque for  27 years of service at St. Clara's.

Sharon Kennett was recognized for 36 years of service at St. Clara's.

Judy Laubenstein received a plaque for  38 years of service.

Eads acknowledged board members Tonita "Toni" Reifsteck, who also serves as a volunteer at the facility, and board president Clyde Reynolds.

This nicely crafted storyboard shows some of the history of St. Clara's.

And of course no party is complete without a nicely decorated cake.

Staff set about serving up generous services of cake to residents.
