Illinois country grain prices were
higher on Thursday afternoon. Corn moved higher over concerns of
dry weather in northeastern China and colder weather in
Illinois. Argentina lowered its corn production estimate, giving
additional support to corn values. Soybean prices followed corn
higher.
In Northern and Western Illinois country grain dealers quoted
shelled corn bids 18 to 22 cents higher at 6.04-6.15. Soybean
bids traded 7 to 9 cents higher at 13.90-14.02.
In Central Illinois country grain dealers quoted shelled corn
bids were 18 to 21 cents higher at 6.14-6.29. Soybean bids were
8 to 10 cents higher at 13.92-14.05.
In the Southern part of the state, shelled corn bids were 18 to
22 cents higher at 6.23-6.45. Soybean bids were 8 to 12 cents
higher at 14.02-14.22. Wheat bids were 14 to 19 cents higher at
6.04-6.26.
