Ted G. Presswood, 72, of Lincoln, died Sunday, April 22, 2012, at
7:31 p.m. at his home.

Lincoln-Ted G. Presswood, age
72 of Lincoln, IL, died peacefully 7:31 PM Sunday,
April 22, 2012 at his home with the comfort of
family and friends.
Ted was born in Pinckneyville, IL. on
February 7, 1940. For 45 years, Ted was the beloved husband
of Linda Lou Petro Presswood who preceded him in death.
Ted is survived by four children: Judy
Crawford of Cupertino, CA, David (Michelle) Presswood,
Virginia/Ginny Huffman, and Jeffrey Presswood of Lincoln,
eight grandchildren: Ashley, Megan, Christine, Haley, and
Dalton Presswood, and Gauge Huffman of Lincoln, Zachary and
Hannah Crawford of Cupertino, CA, and three great
grandchildren, Cadence Presswood, Keygan Metelko, and Kylan
Gillum. |
Ted
remains forever cherished by his loving and devoted
sister, Sierra (Larry) Fulk and Melvin/George
(Virginia) Presswood of Lincoln, IL. He was preceded
in death by his parents Clyde and Bessie Elizabeth
Davis Presswood and three brothers: Dwayne, Vernus,
and Ruben Jewel Presswood.
He was a
self-employed weed cutter and a charter member of Lincoln
Southern Baptist Church. Ted loved and cherished his family
and grandchildren and enjoyed traveling with his wife,
sister, daughters, and grandchildren.
Funeral
services will be held Wednesday, April 25 at 11 AM at
Lincoln Southern Baptist Church with Rev. Bobby Presswood
officiating. Lunch will be served at the church immediately
following the burial. Visitation will be on Tuesday, April
24 from 4 to 7 PM at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in
Lincoln. Ted will rest peacefully at The Presswood Memorial
Monument in Zion Cemetery, Lincoln, IL. Memorials may be
made to Lincoln Southern Baptist Church.
