Illinois country grain prices were
mixed on Tuesday afternoon, though soybeans closed sharply
higher. Strength in soybean values came from strong gains in
soybean meal and ideas of tighter world supplies.
In Northern and Western Illinois country grain dealers quoted
shelled corn bids 4 to 5 cents lower at 6.02-6.12. Soybean bids
traded 24 cents higher at 14.36-14.44.
In Central Illinois country grain dealers quoted shelled corn
bids were 4 to 5 cents lower at 6.11-6.28. Soybean bids were 24
to 26 cents higher at 14.37-14.52.
In the Southern part of the state, shelled corn bids were 5 to 6
cents lower at 6.18-6.40. Soybean bids were 24 cents higher at
14.47-14.69. Wheat bids were mixed at 6.09-6.28.
