Microsurfacing consists of the application of latex modified
asphalt, along with Portland cement and coarse aggregate. The result
is a preventative maintenance treatment that should address the
roughness and extend the life of the existing pavement. The roadway
will have pavement striping done later this summer.
A construction bid amount of $153,607.52 was awarded to AC
Pavement Striping of Elgin. This cost will be paid from Logan County's
motor
fuel rax fund.
Additional information will be made available when a start date
has been determined.
