            		GREENVIEW -- Homer E. Weidhuner, 81, of 
			Greenview, died Friday, April 27, 2012, at Abraham Lincoln Memorial 
			Hospital in Lincoln.  (The obituary below was provided by the 
							funeral home.)  ___ Homer Weidhuner, age 81, of 
							Greenview, passed away on Friday, April 27, 2012 at 
							Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital in Lincoln. Homer is survived by 
					his wife Anna Weidhuner; a daughter Kathryn (Mark) Schreiner 
					of Greenview; a son, Karl (Dawn) Weidhuner of Greenview; six 
					grandchildren, Ashlei and Evan Birch, Allison, Amanda, and 
					Austin Weidhuner, and Nicole Schreiner; and several nieces 
					and nephews.He 
					is preceded in death by his parents and a daughter Carol 
					Birch. Homer was born July 15, 1930 in Sherman, Illinois, the son 
					of Fred A. and Tina Simmering Weidhuner. He 
					married Anna Albers on June 25, 1955. Homer was a livestock farmer for all his life.  He served on 
					the Zion Lutheran Church Board, the L.G. Co-op Board, and 
					the Menard Rural Water Co-op Board, Greenview School Board, 
					and the Middletown State Bank Board.  Homer was a member of 
					the Pork Council, FBFM Board and Menard County Pork 
					Producers. He 
					graduated from Middletown High School and enjoyed operating 
					his antique tractors. Visitation will be held from 4:00 until 7:00 PM on Monday, 
					April 30, 2012 at Mott & Henning Funeral Home in Athens.  An 
					additional visitation will be held from 9:00 until time of 
					funeral service at 10:00 on Tuesday, May 1, 2012 at the Zion 
					Lutheran Church in New Holland.  Rev. 
					Charles Olander will be officiating. | 
                 
 
                    
					 Burial 
					will be held at Walnut Ridge Cemetery near Middletown.     
							Memorials can be made 
							to the Zion Lutheran Church in New Holland. 
					The family would like to thank

					kindness given to Homer.
