Chad, the 11-year-old son of Mark and Stephanie Baldwin, has been
racing since he was 5 years old. He raced the grands last year at
Taylorville and won the B class championship, beating out racers
from all over the country. His home track is the Abraham Lincoln
Quarter Midget Association raceway at Broadwell.
Chad comes from a racing background. He follows in his mother's
steps, as she raced quarter midgets also. He is the grandson of Doug
and Sue Newman, and Doug raced go-carts. Chad's great-grandfather
Jake Newman raced stock cars, and his other great-grandpa was a drag
racer, so racing runs in his blood.
