The program is for ages 16 and up and will provide an opportunity to
learn how to identify more than 30 species of butterflies that are
common in central Illinois. Janet Rasmussen, a Master Naturalist
and certified interpretive guide, will lead participants on a walk
to search for and identify butterflies in the field, and will
discuss their natural history, host plants and caterpillar
characteristics for some species.
The program is free for members of the nature center and $5 per
person for nonmembers. Registration is required.
