Not available for a photo was Jeanne Albertin, who won Best of Show in the Machine and Hand Sewn Quilt category, which was sponsored by the Logan Railsplitting Association.

Sewing can be a family affair. Here Sandy Wilkerson, left, is pictured with her granddaughter Katy Van Slambrouck and Darlene Begolka.  Sandy won Best of Class in the Senior Citizen division and Katy took Best of Show in the Youth 12 and Under.

Phyllis Martin of Lincoln is also a long- term exhibitor. She has been placing entries in the textile shows for the past 40 years. She won Best of Crochet, which was sponsored by Serendipity Stitches.

 

She also received top honors in a new category for this year, Best of Christmas. Her award was given by the Dittus Family in memory of Victor Dittus.

 

 

Linda Crum of Waynesville won Best of Show Quilt and Best of Show Applique. Both of her awards were sponsored by the Log Cabin Quilt Shop.

Karen Willliams of Athens won Best of Show in Machine Embroidery. That ribbon was sponsored by Sew Personal Embroidery of Atlanta. She also won Best of Show in Recycled Jeans, with the ribbon sponsored by Log Cabin Quilt Shop, and Best of Show in Plastic Canvas, with the ribbon being given in memory of Evelyn Begolka and presented by Darlene Begolka.

 

Grace Wibben of Atlanta won Best of Show in Purses and Totes with this lovely bag. Her ribbon was sponsored by Log Cabin Quilt Shop.

Carla Ackerman of Lincoln took Best of Class in the Miscellaneous category for her American Doll dress designs.  Her purple ribbon was sponsored by Beaches Boutique.
