ARMINGTON -- Robert D. "Bob" Brandt,
80, of Armington, died Saturday, Aug. 4, 2012, at 3:25 a.m. at the
Hopedale Medical Complex.

Armington- Robert D. "Bob" Brandt, 80, of Armington
passed away on Saturday, August 4, 2012 at 3:25 a.m.
at Hopedale Medical Complex.
Funeral Services for Bob will be held on Tuesday,
August, 7, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the Armington
Christian Church with Mr. Ed Loyd officiating.
Visitation will be held on Monday evening, August 6,
2012 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Armington
Christian Church.
Cremation rites will be accorded following his
service. Burial will be in Oak View Cemetery in
rural Armington on Saturday, August 11, 2012 at
10:00 a.m. with Mr. Andy Johnson officiating.
Robert Darrell Brandt was born on July 21, 1932 in
Eureka, Illinois the son of James and Fairby Brandt.
He married Dorlis "Tiny" Rae Edwards on February 23,
1963. She survives.
Also surviving are their children: Rose Marie Talbot
of Athens, Reta Ann (Bud) Wilson of Danville, Randy
Presswood of McLean. Also surviving are five
grandchildren: Brandt (Jessica) Wilson, Natasha
(Dave) Kraushaar, Tara Presswood, Kyle (Lil) Wilson,
Cassie Talbot. Three great grandchildren: Chuckie,
Campbell, and Grady.
His siblings: Tom D. (Jeanie) Brandt, Mary Lou
Frietag, Barbara (Jim) Johnson, Eileen Knobloch, Pat
(Gary) McDaniel, Rose Ann (Floyd) Bartelmay, Nancy
(Ed) Hassebrock, Harry Buck Brandt, Janet Duchanois.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two
brothers: William Brandt, Jack Brandt.
Bob graduated from Hittle Township High School.
He proudly served in the United States Army.
He retired from R. A. Cullinan and Son of Tremont
after 37 years of service. He then worked for the
Olympia School District #16 for 13 years.
He was a member of the Armington Christian Church
and American Legion Post 913.
Bob was loved by his family and everyone that knew
him. He loved playing tricks and teasing his family
and friends.
Memorials may be made to the Armington Christian
Church or the Armington Fire and Rescue Squad.
Quiram Peasley Funeral Home in Atlanta is assisting
his family with the funeral arrangements.
