Illinois country grain prices were
higher on Thursday afternoon, with soybeans sharply higher.
The stronger soybean market was
supported by export news.
First it was confimed that the US
had sold 165,000 tonnes of soybeans to China for the 2012-2013
crop year.
Also, weekly export sales figures
were at the high end of traders expectations at 300,400
tonnes.
In Northern and Western Illinois country grain dealers quoted
shelled corn bids mostly 5 to 9 cents higher at 8.02-8.16.
Soybean bids traded 48 to 50 cents
higher at 16.39-16.59.
In Central Illinois country grain dealers quoted shelled corn
bids were 7 cents higher at 8.17-8.32.
Soybean bids were 50 to 55 cents
higher
at 16.58-16.83.
In the Southern part of the state, shelled corn bids were 7 to 8
cents higher at 8.07-8.48.
Soybean bids were 50 to 55 cents
higher at 16.56-16.71.
Wheat bids were 13 cents higher at
8.86-9.13.
