On Tuesday evening, before the
committee of the whole of the Lincoln City Council adjourned, Mayor
Keith Snyder shared that he had received information from Comcast on
their quarterly revenues from Lincoln residents.

The report came attached to the quarterly 5 percent franchise check
mailed to the city. Snyder said the city receives this payment
every three months, but this was the first time Comcast had provided
an explanation of how they determined the total on the check.
For the period of April through June, the 5 percent share issued
to the city totaled $45,329.23.
Snyder said one thing he finds interesting is that the city earns
5 percent of the commissions Comcast receives from home shopping
networks.
