Illinois country grain prices were
sharply lower on Thursday afternoon.
Technical selling and profit taking by traders again weakened
grain futures.
In the cash grain markets, trading
was moderate.
The cash soybean basis at many
processors and river terminals weakened today, with some 10 to
25 cents lower.
In Northern and Western Illinois country grain dealers quoted
shelled corn bids 21 to 22 cents lower at 7.99-8.16.
Soybean bids were 16 to 21 cents
lower at 17.37-17.45.
In Central Illinois country grain dealers quoted shelled corn
bids were 19 to 21 cents lower at 8.14-8.40.
Soybean bids were 20 to 26 cents
lower at 17.37-17.70.
In the Southern part of the state, shelled corn bids were 16 to
21 cents lower at 8.21-8.49.
Soybean bids were down 18 to 22
cents at 17.35-17.60.
Wheat bids were 22 to 24 cents
lower at 8.48-8.66.
