Saturday morning, skies were
clear and the breezes were calm for the annual fly-in of balloons at
the Logan County Airport.
As balloons approached from the south to southwest, many were caught up in what may have been a draft that pulled
them high into the sky, making it difficult for the balloonists to throw
their beanbags with hopes of hitting a target on the grass runway below.
Some of the balloonists were able to get their
crafts much lower to the ground, and to the cheers of the crowd,
lobbed their bags into the heart of the target before lifting and
