37th annual 10K race
The 37th annual 10K road race at the festival will take place on
Monday. Race time is 8 a.m. Same-day registration begins at 6:30
a.m. and closes at 7:30.
The 6.2-mile course is rolling, out and back, guaranteed to
provide a challenge to all. Split times will be available at the
turnaround, and there will be a water station at miles two and four.
Illinois Valley Striders will provide the race clock and award
tallies. This race is part of the IVS Grand Prix Race Series.
Note that there is no one-mile fun run this year.
There are four runner categories: male and female ages 0-19, male
and female ages 20-34, male and female ages 35-49, and male and
female age 50 and over.
Awards will go to the overall male and female winners, and
medallions will be awarded to the top three finishers in each group,
the top three Delavan finishers, and the oldest and youngest
finishers.
Refreshments will be served to runners following the race.

Tour DeDelavan bike race
The fall festival has also announced that a bicycle race is on
the schedule. The race will start at 8 a.m. Saturday and encompass
23 miles of rolling farm country as well riding along the scenic
Mackinaw River.
Little Ade's Bicycle Shop will sponsor the race and assist with
any individual needs at the starting line. Ragland Buildings from
Hopedale is also a sponsor.
Water stations will be available.
