Illinois country grain prices were
sharply higher on Wednesday afternoon.
Corn and soybean values gained
strength from a strong wheat future market.
Good export interest in wheat
drove prices higher.
In Northern and Western Illinois country grain dealers quoted
shelled corn bids 14 to 20 cents higher at 8.00-8.14.
Soybean bids were 28 to 30 cents
higher at
17.31-17.58.
In Central Illinois country grain dealers quoted shelled corn
bids were 16 to 20
cents higher at 8.15-8.39.
Soybean bids were 30 to 31 cents
higher at 17.75-17.98.
In the Southern part of the state, shelled corn bids were mostly
20 cents higher
at 8.27-8.50.
Soybean bids were mostly 13 to 31
cents higher at 17.35-17.73.
Wheat bids were 32 to 34 cents
higher at 8.65-8.80.
