The Bible has nothing to say about the spirit of Christmas...but plenty to say about the Spirit of Christmas. He shows up everywhere in the nativity narrative. He comes upon Mary in Galilee. He convinces Joseph in a dream. He leaps for joy inside Elizabeth, and leads an old man named Simeon to the temple, fulfilling a promise that he would not die before laying eyes on the Lord's Messiah. The true Spirit of Christmas is not a nostalgic feeling, or an attitude of generosity. He is a Person ... a Person who speaks, teaches, encourages, reminds, and intercedes on our behalf. He is all around us, he to convince us that with God, all things are possible.

Our prayer for you this 25th anniversary of Christmas In The Chapel is that the true Spirit of Christmas who invaded our world one midnight clear, will arrive at your door this Christmas season ... and be welcomed home.
