MT. PULASKI, IL - Florence Bacon Schott Stoll, 97, of Mt. Pulaski, IL died at 3:45 A.M. on December 11, 2012 at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital.

Florence was born on Easter Sunday April 4, 1915 in Alexander, IL the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. W. H. Schott. She married Kenneth Stoll on December 31, 1940. He preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.

She graduated from Edinburg High School. She worked as a secretary for the State of Illinois Department of Mental Health.

Florence smiled a lot and enjoyed making others smile. She entertained us with Florence's Corner in the Weekly News. For over 40 years she directed the Mt. Pulaski Kitchen band with celery and rolling pin in hand. She was an active member of Zion Lutheran Church, a Sunday school teacher, choir member and secretary for several organizations. She was a member of ABWA, VFW Auxiliary, Women's Club and the local Red Hatters. She brightened the day of many at Vonderlieth Living Center, playing piano, leading songs, and telling stories. She was always ready to try something new, even flew in a hot air balloon at 92.

She is survived by her son, Ron Stoll of Mt. Pulaski; daughter, Linda (Joe) Jannazzo of Springfield; daughter, Kathie (Marc) Dumonceaux of New Hope, MN. She is also survived by five grandchildren Tina Jannazzo, Joe Jannazzo, Jr., Angela Mizeur, Mikel Dumonceaux, and Jeff Dumonceaux; and five great-grandchildren Gillian, Mia, and Gianna Jannazzo, Sevriano Mizeur and Ava Jane Dumonceaux.

Funeral services for Florence will be held on Friday December 14th at 11:00 A.M. from Mt. Pulaski Zion Lutheran Church with Rev. Christopher Decker officiating. A visitation will be held from 4-7:00 P.M. on Thursday December 13 at the Mt. Pulaski Zion Lutheran Church. Burial follow the service at Mt. Pulaski Cemetery in Mt. Pulaski. Memorials may be made to the Zion Lutheran Church, Zion Lutheran School, or Vonderlieth Living Center. Fricke-Calvert-Schader Funeral Home in Mt. Pulaski will be handling the services.
