Additional finalists from the LCHS speech team were senior Wyatt
Phillis and junior Matthew Langdon, who placed third in humorous
duet acting; senior Jacqueline Keysear, third in junior varsity
oratorical declamation; Keysear and junior Madison Bishop, fourth in
dramatic duet acting; and senior Kendall Katz, seventh in humorous
interpretation. "We are taking a well-deserved break from
competition," said head coach Jennifer Keith. "The students have
been working daily since Halloween on their material and
performances, so we are taking the time off to perfect some things,
change some others and let our speakers have some time to focus on
their final exams next week.
"I'm extremely proud of these speakers," Keith continued, "as
they make up a small but mighty team."
