LINCOLN-Wilda Rayburn, 86, of Lincoln passed away at 9:07 p.m. on January 31, 2012 at St. Clara’s Manor, Lincoln.
Wilda was born on September 23, 1925 in Davenport, Nebraska the daughter of Seaford and Ada Jennings Avers. She married Carlyle Rayburn on July 10, 1947 in Philo, IL. He preceded her in death in January 1967.
Wilda is survived by one son: Harold E. (Connie) Rayburn of Emden, IL; four daughters: Linda (Gene) Warnisher of Ramsey, IL and Joyce (Henry) Taylor of Brownsboro, Alabama, Lola (Luther) Neal of Greenfield, Indiana and Blanche Giles of Ponca City, Oklahoma; twelve grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren. Wilda is the last of her immediate family. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; one sister: Alieen Fletcher, brother-in-law: Wendell Fletcher; one brother: Glen Avers and son-in-law: Coy Giles
Wilda retired as a clerk from the State of Illinois Department of Public Aid.
She was a member of the Foundation Ministry of Armington.
Services will be Saturday; February 4, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Lincoln, with Rev. Roger David officiating. Visitation will be two hours (9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M.) prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in New Union Cemetery, Lincoln. Memorials may be given to Foundation Ministry of Armington, IL.
