Kid Rock himself has a bad-boy image, though he often mixes it with patriotism. Romney, who's been emphasizing family values of late as he works to compete with socially conservative rival Rick Santorum, said later that he didn't worry about Kid Rock's mores. "I think that he makes some pretty good music and I like listening to his music," Romney told Detroit radio station WXYT when he was asked if Kid Rock portrays values that people should emulate. "And when I listen to the people who provide music I don't actually try to assess their personal family values," he said. "I listen to their music."
