Election notice for elderly and people with disabilities
NOTICE TO THE ELDERLY AND PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES
FOR THE
MARCH 20, 2012 GENERAL PRIMARY ELECTION.
Citizens who cannot leave their home or nursing home
because of permanent disability and are not registered to vote may
arrange for voter registration by contacting the Office of the Logan
County Clerk. Upon request, a list of Deputy Registrars will be given to
any person unable to come in to the Office of the County Clerk for
registration.
Any qualified registrant may register to vote at the Office of the Logan
County Clerk located in Room 20 of the Logan County Courthouse, Lincoln,
Illinois Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Two forms of
identification are required to register; one must display your current
address. The last day to register to vote for the General Primary
Election is February 21, 2012 (with the exception of grace period
registration and transfer of registration beginning February 22, 2012
and ending March 13, 2012 in the Office of the Logan County Clerk).
All polling places in Logan County are accessible to persons with
disabilities. Voting aid or assistance in marking the ballot is
available if needed. If you are physically unable to vote at your
polling place on Election Day, you may vote in person No Excuse Absentee
in the Office of the Logan County Clerk, or No Excuse Absentee by mail.
Contact the Office of the County Clerk to receive Absentee by mail. The
last day an absentee ballot may be mailed from the Office of the County
Clerk is March 15, 2012. The last day to vote in person No Excuse
Absentee in the Office of the Logan County Clerk is Monday, March 19,
2012.
