LINCOLN-Peggy Lucille Golden, 78, of Lincoln passed away on January 5, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at her home.

Peggy retired from Bartman Nursing Home after 15 years as an aide.

Peggy was born on February 20, 1933 in Pekin, IL the daughter of Lawrence Russell and Maona Lucille Potts Stephens. She married Richard Ray Golden on August 25, 1951 at Mackinaw, IL. He preceded her in death April 6, 1992.

Peggy is survived by one son: James (Jennie) Golden of Lincoln; two grandsons: Andrew (Nichole) and Stephen Golden; one granddaughter: Emily Golden; three great grandchildren: Brandon, McKayla, and Nathan; one sister: Kay Dvorsak of Peoria, IL; numerous nieces and nephews; one aunt: Margaret Clark of North Carolina; and a special caregivers: Ruth and Lee Woods of Lincoln, IL.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; son: Dennis and two sisters: Mary Duvall and Betty Oliver.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, Jan. 9 at 1:00 p.m. at Oak View Cemetery, Armington, IL with John Nelson officiating. There is no visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Friendship Manor of Lincoln. Arrangements by Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Lincoln.
