Nursing Home in Lincoln. Funeral Services for Mr. Smith will be held on Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at 1:00
p.m. at the Peasley Funeral Home in Lincoln with Rev. Dan Bell. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the Service on Tuesday. Burial will be in Zion Cemetery in Lincoln. Charles Smith Jr. was born on September 19, 1935 in Eminence Township, rural
Atlanta the son of Charles George and Lois Daisy Vannoy Jones Smith. Charlie is survived by his three sons: Richard Lee Smith of Gould, Arkansas,
Scott Wilson Smith of Lincoln, Michael Anthony Lindsey of Hartsburg. He was preceded in death by one son: Aaron Smith, four sisters and two brothers. Charlie was a retired farmer. He also had worked for Marcotte International
Harvester. For the past fourteen years he had worked for Big R in Lincoln. He loved attending tractor pulls and collected John Deere Memorabilia. Casual attire is requested for those attending the funeral services. Memorials may be made to his family to help cover funeral expenses.
He married Mary Lindsey September 19, 1981. She preceded him in death on
September 21, 2009.
one sister: Charlene Fulk of Lincoln, two brothers: Harold (Leona) Jones of
Clinton, Leslie Vernon (Doris) Jones of Lincoln. Five grandchildren also
survive.
